We, the representatives of the respective trade unions, meeting in New Delhi on 15th November, 2008, in the course of the 26th Conference of the All India Bank Employees' Association, hereby place our signatures to this declaration, consenting to the formation of the Asian Regional Organization of Banks, Insurance & Finance Unions (AROBIFU) and seeking membership of it.

It is further declared that the organization will function in terms of the annexed constitution and pursuance of its activities in the direction of the following primary objectives, amongst others.

1. To promote understanding and solidarity amongst the people, banks and financial sector employees in the Asian Region with the view to promote the development and harnessing of material and human resources for optimum national development.
   

2. Exchange of views among member organizations on matters of common interests.
   

3. Documentation of information relevant to the pursuance of common goals.
   

4. Cary out research on matters concerning contractualisation, outsourcing, job insecurity, etc. and other issues of concern to the trade union.
   

5. Extending solidarity and assistance to each other against suppression of trade union and basic human rights and violation of core labour standards.
   

6. Develop knowledge and leadership qualities of members.
   

7. Resist and oppose all forces which may attempt to hinder socio-economic growth of third world countries and in particular Asian Countries.
   

8. Fight for the establishment of a non-exploitative society.
